FISHING
SookePoint is located within easy driving distance of fishing charters and the fertile fishing grounds of Canada’s south Pacific Ocean. Operating year round, fishing charters are a great way to enjoy a day – or more – on the water, catching fish, without the hassle of hauling your own boat, figuring out where the fish are and all the other responsibilities that come along with being your own captain.
LOCAL FAVOURITES
Sooke Potholes Provincial Park is the perfect day-use destination, the water is beautiful and clear making it perfect for a swim and picnic during the summer months. It is also a great location to watch the annual salmon spawning run.
ZIPLINING
For the thrill-seeking families, do a ziplining tour just a 20 minute drive from the resort. Adrenaline Zipline offers a total of eight ziplines, varying in length. The tour takes place on 100 acres of coastal temperate rainforest with magnificent mountain and ocean views. All guests must be between 40lbs and 275lbs for safety reasons.
BEACH TIME
Get your hands a little sandy and do some beachcombing at Whiffen Spit Beach. You never know what treasures you might find buried in the sand. Whiffen Spit is great for a family beach day with plenty of easy paths to walk, you might be lucky enough to spot some resident orcas.
